3D Body Scanner Technology on the High Street for the First Time

High Street giant Holland & Barrett has partnered with Styku, the world’s foremost 3D Body Scanner in a pioneering new pilot programme to help give British shoppers insight, information and inspiration to make positive changes to their health and lifestyle. In what is believed to be a first on the UK High Street, the Styku 3D Body Scanner has been installed at H&B’s flagship Manchester store and comes complete with a private consultation room within the store’s new Wellness Hub found on its first floor. The scan and consultation are currently offered at £20 and are available throughout the store’s opening times. Representing Styku in the UK, Tracy Morrell, Director at React Fitness said: “Styku’s world-leading technology, capability and experience is second to none. In less than two minutes a person can see and understand key health metrics and get the support, advice and direction from the Holland & Barrett Wellness Hub qualified advisor. Holland & Barrett’s Wellness Hub team have been trained by Styku to use the body scanning hardware and unique software and now have the skills and knowledge to not only use the machine but to fully assess each client, interpret the data points from each scan as well as effectively signposting and advising on the next steps; post scan. Follow up scans will effectively track progress and provide feedback on how they are reducing health risks, improving posture, losing weight, changing shape and improving all aspects of body composition. Tracy adds: “This is a positive and proactive move by one of the Europe’s leading health and wellness retailers and shows the brand’s commitment to its customers’ health. With a hugely comprehensive online health hub, not to mention a growing portfolio of other in-person health and wellbeing services, Holland & Barrett are going over and above to better educate and equip consumers with preventative healthcare and information to live healthier and happier lives.” Adam Moore, General Manager, Wellness Hubs Holland & Barrett says, “We want to make health and wellness a way of life for everyone and so we’re developing and trialling new health and wellness services to expand our offer beyond product. We want to create new, accessible ways to help our customers understand their health with the right information and advice so they can improve it and track their progress. We think this is a first on the high street – 3D scanning moves on from existing bio-metric scans to give customers a real life visual representation of their body composition with advice from our trained team on what their next steps might be – we can’t wait to hear what our customers think”. The pilot will determine whether this initiative could be rolled out across other Holland & Barrett stores.
