3D body scanning to form a central part of ELITE’s world-class wellness offering at Grantley Hall

Grantley Hall will open on July 6th following major investment and, with it, the brand new ELITE executive gym and wellness facility (ELITE), providing members with access to the world’s most innovative fitness equipment, including the Styku 3D Body Scanner installed by React Fitness, which will form an integral part of the hotel’s pioneering wellness offering.

Located on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, Grantley Hall’s overarching vision is that ELITE will provide members with a world-class exercise experience across its three fitness spaces, consisting of a fully equipped luxury gym, a strength-and-conditioning gym, and a compact, altitude-enabled training room.

The Styku 3D Body Scanner – a leader in its field, which has continued to innovate, with the recent launch of its Styku Phoenix AI software raising the bar once more – will give ELITE’s fitness professionals the ability to perform full-body scans of its members to gain measurements and track changes in body shapes, all at the touch of a button.

In turn, this will enable ELITE’s team to create bespoke and results-driven fitness programmes tailored for each individual member. The intelligence gained from Styku will help motivate members, as it will give them a true visual representation of their progress; insight that cannot be gained simply by standing on a set of scales or looking at your body in the mirror.

Duncan Roy, Director of ELITE executive gym and wellness, and quadruple word record holder in rowing, said: “To achieve our aim of turning Grantley Hall into a truly outstanding health and wellness retreat, we did an in-depth search for the best equipment on the market that could make a real difference to our service and set us apart from other hotels, not only in the UK, but further afield.

“Along that journey, we realised the huge potential of 3D body scanning to create a truly personalised exercise experience with tangible results for our members. The extensive capabilities of Styku’s 3D body scanner, which will empower both our staff and members as they work together to achieve fitness goals, is what set it apart from the rest, and we look forward to Styku becoming a key part of ELITE’s unique fabric.”

Tracy Morrell, Director of React Fitness, the exclusive Styku distributor for the UK and Ireland, is excited by the partnership and the central role Styku’s 3D body scanner will play in the delivery of Grantley Hall’s vision for ELITE, as she explains: “We’re delighted that the Styku 3D Body Scanner has been selected to form an important component of Elite’s holistic approach to wellness, being fully incorporated into the life of the gym to help create an exciting, innovative and member-focused environment.”

Duncan added: “What really stood out about Styku was the precision, intuitiveness and level of detail it provides, with clear next steps on how to use the information to benefit our members, as well as the fact that it’s constantly evolving. We can’t wait for our members to start using it when ELITE opens its doors this month.”

With ambitions to become one of Europe’s most prestigious hotels, Grantley Hall, located at the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, is an historic Grade II* listed building undergoing an extensive restoration. Once complete, the luxury hotel will offer a comprehensive spa and gym service, unique to the UK.
